1. Get on the same network. (Wifi, or if there isn’t one available make a closed network for just your CPU and device)

2. Open the App on the iPad & respectively on your Mac.

3. Find your iPad and connect. Viola!

I’ve found in my uses, it’s not the quickest in response, though one wouldn’t expect it to fly. it came out quite straight forward and easy to use even after all this time (it’s been a couple of weeks since I started using it). The ability to interact with the environment is a bit limited as it’s not the quickest way to render things, but it works and I’ve even used it to navigate through and demonstrate software .

Menu bar icon support, rotatable screen, touch interaction, and video isn’t COMPLETELY unwatchable. All in all I’ve used it to watch EQ meters while mixing music, watched flash movies on it, utilized it to demonstrate applications with a hands on approach, and even edited a couple of photos with photoshop though I’d suggest maybe getting a stylus before trying something serious.
